An aspheric, back surface corneal GP contact lens design.

When with-the-rule corneal cylinder exceeds 2.00D and the refractive cylinder increases accordingly, the percentage of success with a spherical design decreases. A spherical base curve can become more uncomfortable and the physical fit will appear less acceptable. This is when it is beneficial to utilize an aspheric back surface design.

Intended for:
  • Mild ectasias such as early keratoconus and PMD
  • Cases of corneal irregularities due to trauma, infection or surgery
