At the 40th Annual Fall Seminar held by the Michigan Optometric Association at the Lansing Convention Center, Tom Anastor received a special recognition award.
Presented by Dr. Barbara Horn, President of the MOA, in front of nearly 300 Michigan Optometrists, Mr. Anastor was recognized for being a lifetime friend and supporter of Michigan Optometry. During the presentation, Dr. Horn highlighted Mr. Anastor’s commitment to regional statewide optometric meetings and associations, and his support of optometric education endeavors and student activities. She also made special note of our 50 years of custom GP, & now soft lens production, and addressed how the quality of products and services provided by our laboratory have helped Michigan Optometrists successfully meet the neds of patients.
After the presentation, several customers made a point of visiting Tom at the Art Optical booth in the convention hall to thank & congratulate him personally.
Mr. Anastor’s pride and appreciation was evident as he accepted the award and greeted familiar faces and long-time friends. The fact that the whole event was organized secretly by the MOA leadership and presented to Tom as a surprise made the day even more exciting and memorable!
