The Intelliwave PRO’s unique stabilizing system is licensed technology from UltraVision CLPL in the UK and features Peripheral Balancing Zones (PBZ) that interact with the top and bottom lids. This interaction creates stabilizing forces which allow for rapid lens positioning and focusing, usually within 20 seconds. Quick and stable lens orientation ensures crisp, clear vision at all times and eliminates visual fluctuations during gaze excursions and head tilts.
According to Art Optical Consultation Manager Bethany Peebles, FAAO, NCLE-AC, the Peripheral Balancing Zones in Intelliwave PRO allow for excellent and immediate lens centration. “Stabilization and centration is especially important when fitting patients with extreme prescriptions which has made this advanced new ballasting system ideal – even when fitting non-toric prescriptions,” she said.
Intelliwave PRO is offered in aspheric, aspheric toric, multifocal and multifocal toric designs with a broad range of parameter availability for patients with out-of-inventory range Rx needs. Intelliwave PRO multifocal optics are truly flexible, combining Center Near and Center Distance designs with additional options to optimize vision for the dominant eye in today’s presbyopic population.
Manufactured in Definitive SiHy (Efrofilcon A 74%) material by Contamac, Intelliwave PRO is recommended as a quarterly replacement lens, but can also be manufactured in hydrogel material for biannual replacement.
